Tragic Plane Crash Claims Lives of Figure Skating Prodigy and Mother

The devastating midair collision near Washington, D.C., on January 29th, which claimed the lives of all 67 passengers, has left the figure skating community in mourning. Among the victims were 42-year-old Justyna Beyer and her 12-year-old daughter, Brielle, a talented young figure skater who had recently achieved a significant milestone in her career.  

Brielle, a courageous cancer survivor, had recently earned a coveted spot on the U.S. Figure Skating National Development Camp, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Her father, Andy Beyer, was eagerly awaiting their arrival at the airport, filled with joy and anticipation. However, his excitement turned to unimaginable grief when he learned of the tragic accident.  

The figure skating community is deeply saddened by the loss of this promising young athlete and her mother. In an effort to support the grieving family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to provide financial assistance and offer a lifeline during this period of immense loss.
