A devastating air ambulance crash in northeast Philadelphia has claimed the lives of six individuals, including an 11-year-old girl and her mother. The Learjet 55, carrying Valentina Guzman Murillo, her mother Lizeth Murillo Ozuna, and a medical team, crashed shortly after takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, tragically ending Valentina’s journey home after receiving life-saving medical treatment.
The crash also claimed the lives of the flight crew: Captain Alan Alejandro Montoya Perales, Copilot Josue de Jesus Juarez Juarez, Dr. Raul Meza Arredondo, and paramedic Rodrigo Lopez Padilla.
The impact of the crash extended beyond the aircraft, causing significant damage to surrounding homes and injuring 22 people on the ground.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is currently investigating the cause of the crash, meticulously examining the wreckage and analyzing flight data.
