PSG manager Luis Enrique had previously remarked, “Live without Mbappé,” emphasizing the forward’s decreasing playing time. Since February 2, Mbappé has not completed a full 90 minutes in Ligue 1.

Reports surfaced on March 2 that Mbappé perceived these substitutions as a consequence of his decision to leave the club at the end of the season. Sources revealed that he met with Luis Enrique at the training center last weekend to address the tension arising from his reduced playing time.
Despite these developments, Mbappé showcased his talent in both legs of PSG’s Champions League round-of-16 matches against Real Sociedad, scoring twice in the second leg. After the Tuesday match, he refuted rumors of a feud with Luis Enrique, stating, “There is no problem with him, even if people think there is a problem. I have problems, but the coach is not one of them.”
