Harry Kane Shared With Reporters
Speaking to reporters after the match, Kane shared, “I am really enjoying this feeling and playing every match for the club. With plenty of games still ahead, I am confident I will break the 30-goal record. People expect me to score goals, and I aim to deliver.”
Kane’s outstanding display also earned him the distinction of being the first player to score four hat-tricks in his debut Bundesliga season. This victory has significantly closed the gap between Bayern Munich and the current league leaders, Bayer Leverkusen, to just seven points.
At the age of 30, Kane has netted an impressive 36 goals this season, matching Uwe Seeler’s record for the most goals in a debut Bundesliga campaign. He is now on track to surpass Robert Lewandowski’s record for the most goals scored in a single Bundesliga season, a feat achieved by the Polish forward in the 2020-21 season.
Expressing the team’s aspirations, Kane emphasized the importance of maintaining pressure on Leverkusen and hoped they would drop points in the remaining 10 league games. “Leverkusen are considered favorites to win the league. We have to strive to win all the remaining games as this is the business end of the season,” stated Kane.
Currently, Bayern Munich holds the second position in the Bundesliga with 57 points, and they are also in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Their upcoming league game against Darmstadt 98 next week adds another layer of anticipation for fans.
